Magnolia Market Review || Waco,Texas

Its been awhile, I'm happy to have a minute to write to you today.
I've been incredibly busy with packing. We decided to keep ourselves so busy until the day we move. What were we thinking?
Just put it this way in the next 2 weeks we will have put 5,000 miles on our car. My husband came up to me over a month ago saying he wanted to make one last trip to Texas to visit his family before we make the long road trip to Seattle. So we packed up our family last week and made the 19 hour drive to Houston. Then we head out to Wisconsin Dells tomorrow with my family. Then we leave for Seattle a little over a week after that. Maybe God knows I just work better under pressure but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel completely overwhelmed. Trying not to be but it's hard. Especially because my Dad's anniversary of his death was on the 24th of Feburary. Then I think maybe God is sparing me by keeping me busy enough not to sit still & think about it. I know he has his hands somewhere in my life trying to keep me afloat.

Today I wanted to share my experience at Magnolia Market with you all or should I say in true Texas fashion "ya'll." (;

I'm sure all of you are familiar with the names Chip & Joanna Gaines by now. They are the power couple behind the hit show Fixer Upper on HGTV.
So this was actually my second time I've been to Magnolia but I will say it was way better the second time around. The amount of things they added the second time around was amazing. I love how they change it up every couple of months so you really get the best experience no matter what time of year you go.

Hang in there this is a long one...

If you follow Magnolia on Instagram you probably see these photos all the time but nothing compares when you actually get to see it in person. It did not disappoint.

If you haven't been and can somehow make it work to go, I would definitely recommend it.
I love that there is something for everyone.  In between shopping at the market, I love that my kids could play on the giant wooden swings or in the lawn kicking the soccer ball around. They really nailed it on the head as far as being a family friendly place.

If you plan on being there over lunch time or dinner time, make a point to eat at the food trucks they have set up all around the back area. They have a little bit of everything. We chose to eat at the H.O.T Dog House. Which was delicious and perfect for little ones. Walk around & try to reserve a seat sitting at the giant wood picnic tables to get the full farmhouse feel.  I wish I could share my input on the new Silos Baking Co. because when I was there the line was wrapped around the building all the way down to the Silos, which to me that is a good sign. So my only tip would be go there with no time limit.

On the far corner of the property is a cute garden area. I'm not so sure what this was exactly but my kids enjoyed playing in the cute wooden tee pee & drumming on the mushrooms they had set up.

Inside the Market you really feel Joanna's style everywhere you turn. I love how they decorate for each season. I would compare the set up a lot like a Anthropologie. You can tell every inch of the Market was thought out beautifully.

So if I could help you plan your day at Magnolia I would say before the Silos head on over to Common Grounds Coffee Shop. Pick yourself up a nicely brewed coffee or gourmet latte. Hang out there for a little bit because they have the cutest sitting areas all around the shop and if your not a coffee drinker, you can always head next door to Heritage Creamery & pick yourself up some of the most amazing ice cream.

After that you can head five minutes down the road to the Market and enjoy the rest of your day there. Finish it off with dessert at the Silos Baking Co. & let me know what you think. (;

Make sure to take a ton of photos by all the cute displays they have set up all over Magnolia Market. They make some of the best memories with some of the prettiest backdrops.

Hoping to get another blog post up sometime this week too! Crossed fingers.

xo.
