Easter weekend | Port Angeles, WA.

Can't believe Easter is over. Not gonna lie, I was pretty emotional this past weekend. I tried not to let it show but so much has changed this past year & it was the first holiday I have ever spent away from home.
It wasn't easy & to be honest, I didn't think it was going to be this hard.
Some days are better than others but for some reason I was in a funk this weekend & I couldn't seem to shake it. Missing my Dad immensely especially around the holidays. Still feels like a punch in the stomach at times. I'm missing my family back home, & just trying to course through all these big changes in my life. The only thing I know for certain is that God is good. I trust him & his plans for me. So thats what gives me faith & hope.

On a happier note, I am loving getting to know all the military wives & just meeting new moms at the YMCA. I have been forced to break out of my shell & that has been such a good thing. Not that I was ever shy by any means but breaking anyone out of their comfort zone is good. I think so anyways.

I wanted to come on here & share our Easter weekend in Port Angeles with you all; plus, then all these photos will have a home. HAHA That's more for my sake though.
Enjoy. (:

If you are visiting Port Angeles for the first time. The scenery is just beautiful. Breathe in the fresh air. Do you see those mountains in the distance in the photo below... That's Canada.  You can take a ferry directly over to Victoria, Canada. Something that is on our bucket list to do while we are stationed here. So stay tuned! Hopefully this summer we will take a long weekend & head over. If you have been I would love to know some restaurants to eat at & must see places. Let me know in the comments below. (:

If your driving from Seattle to Port Angeles, you will notice the stacked rocks along trails & roads. We decided to join in.  Liam & Brent's doing.

If you are a coffee lover like myself definitely check out BADA Coffee Bar. They sell a brand of coffee I've never heard of called Black Rifle coffee. My husband is currently obsessed with at the moment. Plus they give 20% off military family, you know how much I like a deal. (: The people are amazing & the coffee is even better. Not to mention the atmosphere is perfect. We went their Easter morning, because we didn't go to church we at least wanted to read the Easter story to the boys. The candy & bunny are nice but that's not the reason we celebrate.
I think it was the perfect bonding time as a family. It really set the tone for the rest of the day.

I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend, Spending time with family & reflecting on God's love for us.

Thanks for stopping by.

xo.
